I have this little bowl of ear plugs.
One reason why I have so few earrings, is that I always lose! In many small dishes, pots and boxes which are usually single earrings or parts. To halt the losing earrings stop, I have today a small organization under handicrafts.
I have used a framework in which the glass is broken and I would actually landed in the trash.
a hobby shop I bought for 1.50 € a thin wire mesh. He is so thin that you can cut it easily with scissors handle.

So dug out small nails. In each corner of a nail just inside and umgekloppt. I can very well because my nails never go anyway just pure. 
That was it already. Then just hang earrings in the mesh and everything has its place.
The good that I am almost forced to buy new earrings.
