Celiacs And Cloudy Urine
The Google Notebook with Firefox 5.3
long long I was surprised that my Google Notebook AddOn suddenly gone
and no update is coming ... But now I have to
maiklsnotizbuch found the following report.
Very handy as I find that I have personally used this tool as a FF addon a lot and often.
Have fun, keep
is real ^ ^
The Google Notebook is a great tool on which I am very used to. It makes me more sad that Google will not develop it - you probably want to use these functions in the future Google Waves. Until then, it stands as a user of a bit on the road. As a pure Web service can use the notebook as always - the integration as addon in Firefox but remains barred from the Firefox version 3.5. Just this integration was one of the most important functions.
Fortunately, you need not take much to bring back the addon to be the latest version of Firefox running.
First you need the browser extension itself can be downloaded as the xpi file at this URL: http://dl.google.com/firefox/google-notebook.xpi save (right click & "Target ... ").
The xpi file from one speichtert.
will now need a compression program that this archive - can extract - nothing else is a XPI file. Here I recommend 7zip .
We open the file with 7zip and found within the archive file "install.rdf". This file, we open with a text editor and find the line in which we find the version number of Firefox - once we change this to "3.0 .*" to "3.5 .*".
Save and Close (the archive) and install double click the xpi file. Done.
It may happen that we get an error during installation (... "Signing could not be verified.-260"). If this error occurs, we have the xpi archive delete the folders "META-INF" file "zigbert.rsa. The should resolve the problem.
Update from 27.07.2009: If you want to save the work, could also equal the modified addon-package from here: Google Notebook (modified for Firefox 3.5)
